ABOUT RENEW BALI
What is Renew Bali?
Renew Bali is a New Zealand-based service that organises fully supported cosmetic rejuvenation trips to Bali. We coordinate surgery at an accredited clinic, luxury resort recovery, and provide dedicated New Zealand nurse and organisational support throughout your journey.
Who is Renew Bali for?
We support New Zealand clients who are considering cosmetic surgery overseas but don’t know where to start. Whether you’re thinking about a face and neck lift, breast augmentation or reconstruction, or other rejuvenation procedures, we provide a safe, fully supported experience with dedicated New Zealand nurse care from consultation to aftercare — at a significantly lower cost than having the same procedure in New Zealand.
Is this medical tourism?
We prefer to describe it as supported cosmetic rejuvenation travel. We focus on safety, quality, and personalised care with New Zealand nurse and organisational support before, during, and after your time in Bali.
Who performs the surgery?
All procedures are performed by independent, accredited plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons at the award-winning BIMC CosMedic Centre at BIMC Nusa Dua. Your surgery will be carried out by one of our highly experienced partner surgeons, most commonly Dr Wara or Dr Indra, both of whom are fully qualified Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons with advanced training. Dr Wara is a specialist in craniomaxillofacial surgery with fellowship training and extensive experience in facial procedures. Dr Indra brings the latest techniques in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with a strong focus on patient safety and natural-looking results. All our surgeons are committed to the highest standards of care and regularly participate in advanced training both in Indonesia and internationally.
YOUR JOURNEY
How does it work?
You start with a consultation in New Zealand. Once you decide to proceed, we handle all the arrangements including surgery dates, accommodation, transfers, and nurse support. You simply focus on your journey and recovery.
How long is the trip?
Our standard package is 12 nights in total: • 2 nights at the resort before surgery (to settle in and prepare) • 2 nights in hospital for your procedure and initial recovery • 8 nights at the resort for supported recovery with daily nurse visits
Breast surgery packages are typically 9 nights in total, with a slightly shorter resort recovery period.
Is the hospital safe?
Yes. We work exclusively with the award-winning BIMC CosMedic Centre at BIMC Nusa Dua. This modern, fully accredited hospital is: • ACHS International Accredited (the first hospital in Indonesia to achieve this rigorous Australian healthcare standard) • KARS Licensed (Indonesia’s national hospital accreditation body) • Named Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year – Indonesia 2026
This accreditation ensures the highest standards of safety, clinical care, and patient outcomes — giving you peace of mind throughout your journey.
Will I have New Zealand nurse support in Bali?
Yes. A dedicated New Zealand aesthetic nurse travels with the group and is available throughout your stay for checks, wound care support, medication guidance, and reassurance.
Where will I stay?
You will stay at the Renaissance Bali Resort & Spa in Nusa Dua — a calm, upscale 5-star resort chosen for its comfort, privacy, and short distance to the hospital. You will be accommodated in a comfortable Deluxe Room with a private balcony or terrace. Additional nights can be added before or after your package at preferred rates, and room upgrades are available on request.

AFTERCARE
What happens when I return to New Zealand?
You will have access to ongoing support from our New Zealand team. We offer one complimentary follow-up appointment with our nurse if required, and we can assist with further support or referrals as needed.
What if I have a complication?
We take every precaution to minimise risk, but complications can occur with any surgery. That is why we strongly recommend specialist medical travel insurance (see our Travel & Medical Insurance page). This covers complications related to your elective procedure, including additional medical costs, travel, and accommodation if needed.
Our New Zealand nurse team will support you throughout, and we have strong relationships with the hospital for any follow-up care required.
BEFORE YOU TRAVEL
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. We strongly recommend specialist medical travel and complications insurance for your journey. Standard travel insurance typically excludes elective cosmetic procedures and any related complications. We have partnered with Global Protective Solutions (GPS) to offer specialised coverage designed for medical tourists. This includes protection for medical complications, additional travel costs, emergency assistance, and more.

Do I need a visa for Bali?
New Zealand passport holders can enter Bali visa-free for up to 30 days (Visa Exemption) or obtain a Visa on Arrival (valid for 30 days, extendable). For most clients undergoing cosmetic procedures, the Visa on Arrival or e-Visa is sufficient and the simplest option.
Official resources: • e-Visa Application • Indonesia Immigration Official Site
We will remind you of the requirements and recommended steps during your pre-trip planning, but you are responsible for obtaining the correct visa.
